Program Highlights – Back By Popular Demand

Pre-Conference DBT Workshop - April 11, 2018
Earn eight hours of initial training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), including the unique features of the Hologic, GE, and Siemens DBT systems, as required by the FDA.

Attendees will have the opportunity to review cases on individual DBT workstations. Expert faculty will be available during the case review time to provide guidance.

*Additional registration fee applies; limited to 50 attendees.

Refresher Course Recordings
You spoke, we listened! Since you can’t be in six places at once, we are offering access to recordings of all the concurrent afternoon refresher courses. Audio recordings will be synced with presenters’ slides so you can easily follow along with the sessions you couldn’t attend in person. Attendees who choose this option when registering will receive access in the conference app automatically when the recordings are made available approximately 6-8 weeks after the Symposium.

*Additional fee applies; no CME credit for recordings

Reservations
Online Reservations: Access the online reservation site: www.bit.ly/HotelSBI2018
Phone Reservations: Reserve your room by calling the Hotel directly at (855) 435-0005. Be sure to state that you are with the SBI/ACR Symposium.

Group Rate Cutoff
The cutoff date for reservations is Saturday, March 10, 2018. Do note that reservations may sell out prior to the cutoff date; therefore, it is recommended that you book your room now. Reservations made after the cutoff date and time will be based on the room availability, and the group rate cannot be confirmed.

*Note: Booking outside of the room block will cause the society to incur additional costs that ultimately may jeopardize the quality of the experience in which you have become accustomed. SBI strongly encourages symposium attendees to book reservations using the hotel's dedicated SBI meeting website or toll-free telephone number. When you "book within the block," you help the SBI to keep meeting costs as low as possible, and enables us to provide some of the important features meeting attendees have come to enjoy, such as the Presidential Reception, the Exhibit Area coffee hours, and the MIT activities.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:

  1. Explain the current science and recommendations regarding use of screening mammography.

  3. Discuss the current pathology perspective on the biology of high risk lesions and of breast cancers.
  4. Describe the current and evolving surgical and systemic treatment strategies for breast cancers.
  5. Apply knowledge on a wide variety of breast imaging topics. Molecular breast imaging, radioactive seed localization, challenging cases, performance benchmarks, accreditation and economics will be included.
