2018 SBI Gold Medal RecipientThe SBI Gold Medal recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of breast imaging and for distinguished and extraordinary service to the Society of Breast Imaging and other medical societies and organizations.
Dr. Linda Warren of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada was named the 2018 Gold Medal Winner at the recent SBI Fellows Meeting in Chicago, which took place during the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 27, 2017.
A Fellow of the SBI since 1991, Dr. Warren is currently a clinical professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Her clinical research has included screening mammography, interpretive skills in breast imaging, and computer-aided detection.
Dr. Warren was awarded fellowship in the American College of Radiology in 1994. Other awards include the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia Award of Excellence, the BC Medical Association Silver Medal of Service and Don Rix Award for Physician Leadership, and in 2009, the Order of British Columbia.
The Gold Medal Award winner will be formally recognized during the awards ceremony to be held on Friday, April 13, 2018

Earn eight hours of initial training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), including the unique features of the Hologic, GE, and Siemens DBT systems, as required by the FDA.
Attendees will have the opportunity to review cases on individual DBT workstations. Expert faculty will be available during the case review time to provide guidance.

Refresher Course Recordings – Back By Popular DemandYou spoke, we listened! Since you can’t be in six places at once, we are offering access to recordings of all the concurrent afternoon refresher courses. Audio recordings will be synced with presenters’ slides so you can easily follow along with the sessions you couldn’t attend in person. Attendees who choose this option when registering will receive access in the conference app automatically when the recordings are made available approximately 6-8 weeks after the Symposium.
