Study: Vast Majority Of Radiologists Continue To Advocate Yearly Mammograms Starting At Age 40

Aunt Minnie (5/28, Yee) reports that a study published in the June issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology reveals that “despite an ongoing, heated debate over when women should start breast cancer screening, more than 95% of radiologists continue to advocate having yearly mammograms beginning at age 40” and even “follow that counsel themselves.” Researchers arrived at these conclusions after analyzing survey data from 487 breast radiologists.
