Thousands Respond to Call to Action against USPSTF Mammography Guidelines

The American College of Radiology (ACR) activated its grassroots Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) Oct. 26 to support legislation that would establish a two-year moratorium delaying the implementation of U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) draft recommendations for screening mammography. Since its initial call to action, the RAN has garnered over 8,000 letters to Congress asking for support of the Protecting Access to Lifesaving Screenings (PALS) Act. In response, 18 additional House members and four more senators announced support for the bill.
