Author Guidelines
The Society of Breast Imaging’s annual symposium is the largest breast imaging conference in the world, and for the first time ever, we're including both in-person and online components! With a discounted registration rate, SBI Members-in-Training enjoy sessions specifically geared toward them.
Research Abstracts at the Symposium SBI encourages residents, fellows, and medical students to submit original research abstracts to the annual symposium. Authors of accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to network and discuss their research with breast imaging experts and peers.
Research Award Winners Two research prizes are awarded for abstracts presented at the annual Symposium: one to a medical student/resident (at time of submission) and one to a fellow-in-training (at time of submission), based on scientific merit. Each oral abstract winner is awarded a $1,000 honorarium provided by the SBI Research & Education Fund, while presenters of the two highest-scoring electronic abstracts are granted $500 in honoraria, also provided by the R&E Fund. Winning abstracts may be reproduced in the member newsletter, SBI News, and/or the Journal of Breast Imaging.
