RFS Case of the Month

The SBI Resident and Fellow Committee is pleased to present the RFS Case of the Month Series! This online offering highlights important breast imaging findings on an interesting and unique case monthly. The series will allow readers to work through a case developed by trainees and their mentors to increase and solidify their understanding of breast imaging essentials. So, what are you waiting for? Crack the Case!

2022 Hybrid Symposium

The Society of Breast Imaging’s annual symposium is the largest breast imaging conference in the world, and for the first time ever, we included both in-person and online components! With a discounted registration rate, SBI Members-in-Training enjoyed sessions specifically geared toward them.

Research Abstracts at the Symposium
SBI encourages residents, fellows, and medical students to submit original research abstracts to the annual symposium. Authors of accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to network and discuss their research with breast imaging experts and peers.

Research Award Winners
Two research prizes are awarded for abstracts presented at the annual Symposium: one to a medical student/resident (at time of submission) and one to a fellow-in-training (at time of submission), based on scientific merit. Each oral abstract winner is awarded a $1,000 honorarium provided by the SBI Research & Education Fund, while presenters of the two highest-scoring electronic abstracts are granted $500 in honoraria, also provided by the R&E Fund. Winning abstracts may be reproduced in the member newsletter, SBI News, and/or the Journal of Breast Imaging.
