Professional Bio
Dr. Darrow worked as a Grant Writer and Program Director for middle and high school health & wellness programs for a decade before returning to medical school. She was the founder and advisor of numerous programs and clubs for LGBTQI+ and Hispanic youth. She organized several community health fairs and outreach programs in her hometown and has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to volunteerism and promoting social justice, work which she strives to continue throughout her career.
Dr. Darrow has served on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Women in Radiology and on her local and state Radiological Societies. During training, she served a 2 year term as President of the Resident & Fellows Section of the Illinois Radiological Society & the Chicago Radiological Society. Dr. Darrow has served on diversity, equity and inclusion committees for her medical school and residency and for the American College of Radiology She is passionate about medical education, promoting health equity and advocating for underserved groups, especially the LGBTQI+ and Hispanic communities.
