Radiologists are at high risk for burnout, which has many negative implications for physician wellness and patient care. This webinar will review the causes and manifestations of this psychological syndrome, including statistics about burnout in breast radiologists. We will discuss what leaders can do to help prevent burnout and what individuals can do to improve resilience and wellness.

Dr. Martha Mainiero is Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Director of the Anne C. Pappas Center for Breast Imaging at Rhode Island Hospital. As the former Residency Program Director and current Vice Chair of Education, her primary academic focus has been on education. As a partner at Rhode Island Medical Imaging, she is also an experienced private practice radiologist.
