Article: Pregnancy Associated Breast Cancer: Why Breast Imaging during Pregnancy and Lactation Matters

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize normal breast tissue appearances during pregnancy and lactation.
  2. Understand the appropriate use of mammography and MRI during pregnancy and lactation to avoid delayed and incomplete work ups.
  3. Understand the spectrum of appearance of PABC and common mimics, and when to pursue biopsy to exclude malignancy.
