The management of high-risk breast lesions varies widely across institutions and providers. Differences in interpretation of evolving evidence, inconsistent knowledge and application of SBI–ASBrS recommendations, and limited exposure to case-based decision-making contribute to uncertainty regarding optimal patient management. Recent survey data from the SBI Patient Care and Delivery Committee further identify gaps in knowledge and alignment with current best practices.
This webinar will address these gaps by updating participants on the most current guideline recommendations, highlighting real-world practice variation, and reinforcing evidence-based management through practical case examples, with the goal of improving consistency of care, clinical decision-making, and patient outcomes.

Kathryn Zamora, MD, MPH is a tenured Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heersink School of Medicine, where she serves as Director of Breast Ultrasound and Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship. She is a nationally recognized breast imaging specialist with expertise in breast cancer screening and diagnosis, interventional breast procedures, contrast-enhanced mammography, artificial intelligence, and high-risk breast lesions. Her research focuses on advancing breast cancer detection and diagnostic imaging while addressing healthcare equity. Dr. Zamora is active in the Society of Breast Imaging and other national radiology organizations and is extensively involved in resident and fellowship education, national teaching, mentorship, and multidisciplinary breast imaging research.
Manisha Bahl, MD, MPH, FSBI is a breast imaging radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Associate Medical Director of Quality for Breast Imaging at Mass General Brigham, and Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Her research on high-risk breast lesions, AI, and advanced imaging technologies has been recognized with numerous honors, including the American Roentgen Ray Society President’s Award. In 2025, she was inducted as a Distinguished Investigator into the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research. Dr. Bahl is a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging and serves as an Associate Editor for Radiology and Radiology: Artificial Intelligence and as an Editorial Board Member for European Radiology. She has delivered more than 180 invited national and international lectures and is widely recognized for excellence in mentorship and education.
Kristen Coffey, MD, FSBI is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Breast Imaging Division at Weill Cornell and Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Weill Cornell and breast imaging fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Dr. Coffey is Vice Chair of the SBI Patient Care and Delivery Committee and Associate Editor of the Image Spotlight/Unknown Challenge Section of the Journal of Breast Imaging. She is also Co-President of the New York Breast Imaging Society and a member of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Patient Engagement Subcommittee.
Samantha Heller, MD, PhD, FSBI is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. She is the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for the Department of Radiology at NYU and previously served as the Section Chief of Breast Imaging. Before joining NYU, she worked as a breast radiologist in the United Kingdom at St George’s Hospital and in the South West London Screening Service. Dr. Heller completed her radiology residency and fellowship at NYU. She is on the Editorial Board of RadioGraphics and the Journal of Breast Imaging and has chaired the Provider and Healthcare Systems Work Group for the CDC Advisory Committee on Breast Cancer in Young Women. She is the SBI Lead for the ASBrS—SBI—CAP Benign Breast Disease Consensus Guidelines.
