Pediatric breast imaging cases can be challenging for radiologists, trainees and even technologists. Breast masses in children and adolescents are uncommon, and the spectrum of pediatric breast masses is predominantly benign which is different when compared to adult cases. However, there is a lack of formal training when evaluating breast cases of this younger population. This webinar will help to better understand the imaging features of the various stages of normal development and review a multitude of mass forming lesions in the pediatric and adolescent breast. It will also enable the attendees to recognize appropriate management, treatment and follow up for certain complex cases.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the tanner stages of breast development with respect to breast imaging.
  2. Understand the imaging appearances of various common and uncommon pediatric breast lesions.
  3. Review when breast imaging is appropriate in the workup of pediatric breast complaints.
