Although remote and hybrid work models are preferred by many practicing breast radiologists, remote working models remain largely underutilized by many breast imaging practices. This webinar will discuss the benefits and disadvantages of remote work and provide tips on how to incorporate remote and hybrid working models into your current breast imaging practice. Yara Feliciano, MD:
After completing diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Puerto Rico and Breast Imaging fellowship at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Dr. Feliciano joined the faculty at the University of Miami in 2016, where she was appointed Associate Professor. In March of 2024, she joined the faculty at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.
Dr. Feliciano is a member of the American Board of Radiology DR Core Breast Committee, SBI’s Inclusion Diversity Equity Alliance (IDEA) Committee and CME Committee. She has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, and lectured at regional, national, and international conferences. She has a keen interest in educating about Culturally Competent Care in Hispanics/Latino Patients and promoting a culture of wellness and efficiency between Breast Imagers.
Mirelys Barrios, MD
Dr. Barrios is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in FL. She serves as the Director of breast MRI services at the UHealth/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Her interests include local community outreach programs and educating underserved populations regarding the importance of screening mammography. Her research focuses on contrast-enhanced mammography, health equity, HER2+ breast cancers, lobular neoplasia.
