Professional Bio
Bonnie N. Joe, MD, PhD, is a Professor in Residence and the Edward A. Sickles Distinguished Professor in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Joe has been a faculty member in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at UCSF over 20 years serving as Breast Imaging Division Chief for over 17 years. Dr. Joe is a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging.
Dr. Joe is active in professional radiology organizations including recent service on the Board of Trustees for the RSNA Research and Education Foundation (6-year term ended Dec 2025), Deputy Editor for the journal Radiology: Imaging Cancer, and member of the American College of Radiology Screening Leadership Group. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the SBI.
