Professional Bio
Dr. Butler is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, with specialty in Breast Imaging, at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Associate Program Director and Chair of the Residency Wellness Committee for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She helped revise the medical school curriculum at the Yale School of Medicine, where she teaches first- and second-year medical students.
Dr. Butler serves as Assistant Editor for AJR, and as lead podcast host for Breast Imaging topics on the RSNA/Radiology Journal podcast. She has received awards for excellence in teaching from her own residents at Yale and held visiting professorships in Connecticut at community hospital-based residency programs. She participates frequently as an invited speaker at national and international meetings. Dr. Butler is also a manuscript reviewer for Radiology, AJR, European Radiology, Journal of Breast Imaging, Academic Radiology, and RadioGraphics, for which she has received multiple Editor’s Recognition Awards.
